How come I can stay in a University?!

Every summer there is a mass of university rooms vacated in colleges and halls of residence around the world. The vision behind UniversityRooms is to make those rooms available to individuals and groups who are looking for accommodation, whilst also contributing to the upkeep of universities and helping subsidise student rates. 

For universities, this can be a useful supplement to conference and summer school business. For travellers, this presents an affordable and convenient accommodation option, an opportunity to experience life within a university and benefit from use of the factilities.  University accommodation varies from uniquely historic to modern, and is generally comfortable, conveniently located and affordable. A mixture of single, twin, some double and family rooms, many with ensuite bathrooms are available on a bed and breakfast or self-catering basis.

Since 2007 we have built a portfolio of 34 UK universities who use our services. In 2010, we added our first European universities in Spain and Italy, and since then we have added Ireland, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand to the list. Over the next few years we hope to gradually add more colleges and universities throughout the world. We are committed to both a long-term relationship with our universities and the long-term success of this service.
